What Merit touches — and how to leave

On your Meraki network, Merit manages exactly two things: per-client policies (Normal / Blocked / its own group policy) on the devices YOU categorize, and one named group policy ("Merit — Earn to unlock") holding the allow-list. It never changes SSIDs, VLANs, firmware, firewall rules outside that group policy, or anything else.

Safety floor: managed devices always keep DHCP, DNS, NTP, Apple updates, and Merit itself reachable — a blocked device can always be un-blocked, and if Merit can't build its rules it fails OPEN (nothing gets locked by accident).

What Merit stores: your household's own database — accounts, devices, chores, and your Meraki API key (used solely to manage your network). Nothing is sold, shared, or used across households. Delete conversations with the Disconnect button below.

Leaving takes one tap: Settings → "Disconnect & clean up" resets every device to Normal on the wire, deletes Merit's group policy from your Meraki, and clears your API key. Your Meraki network is exactly as Merit found it.

Recommended key hygiene: create a separate limited Meraki admin scoped to just your home network and paste THAT key — never an org-wide admin key.
